Air Injection Oxidizing Filter System Installation

Sophisticated but cost-effective solution to remove rust and that dreaded “rotten egg” smell from the water supply
This valued customer of mine needed an AIO filtration system installed to eliminate iron and H2S in his water supply causing rust stains and that “rotten egg” smell (which can also make you sick). AIO stands for an “Air Injection Oxidizing” filter system. In the photos, it’s the silver and black cylindrical tank on the left. The matching tanking on the right is a water-softener system with a reservoir on the far left holding water-softener pellets. This is a sophisticated but cost-effective system that maintains an air pocket in the top of the AIO tank while the system is in service. As the water passes thru the air pocket, iron and sulfur in the water are oxidized so they can be captured by a filter membrane and removed.
